The printer driver must be installed in order to print from Canon printers using Linux. I have followed the steps to download Canon linux 2.8.0 driver and followed these steps: $ sudo dpkg -i libtiff4_3.9.7-3_bĪs introduced in: Trusty 14.04 canon gruz PPA. My printer used to work on my Ubuntu 12.04 (32bit), but now cannot print.
I have recently upgraded to 14.04(64bit).
